When it comes to props
There’s no one like you!
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue,
Here is My entry,
For this contest from you.
I could have stopped there
At just those four lines,
But wanted to tell you
All that’s on my mind.
For all of these props,
I’ve got an addiction,
Shopping for them
Is my greatest affliction.
My boyfriend said “NO!”
NO MORE PROPS AND I MEAN IT!
WHY MUST YOU BUY THINGS
JUST AS SOON AS YOU’VE SEEN IT?”
He changed pay-pal passwords,
He hides both the cards
I tell him you know babe,
This is breaking my heart.
Cause sure I have 6 drawers
That are filled with just hats
And 6 more with headbands
(Yes 6, picture that!)
And sure I’ve got racks
That are piling high
With blankets and bath-tubs
And wraps to the sky
But I’ve still got no burlap!
Or layering sets!
Or giant flokatis!
Or wooden buckets!
I’ve still got no benches!
Or newborn pants!
Or trench-bowls, Or baskets!
Or bump blankets I rant.
He tells me I always say
Just this one more thing!
And that he’ll never be able
To afford me a ring
He whines and he moans
That I beg and I plead
For all of these props
I so desperately NEED
So contests, yes CONTESTS!
I’ll enter them ALL!
From every prop vendor
I see on my wall
Cause surely he can not complain
If I WIN
And I get all these props
Without once asking him!
And sure all these props
Might spill into the hall,
His garage, shed, our bedroom
And take over it all.
But won’t all my pictures look
So much more cute
With all of these props
From great vendors like you?
